Updated: I released my own invention of inserts to help moms with Elastic and Flat Nipples. Click HERE to see them!

Hello Ladies! I have gone over the benefits of using BeauGen Cushions before but let me go into the details of why this particular product can be very beneficial for pumping moms.  BeauGen Cushions are versatile, flexible, and a little sticky. BeauGen’s are inserts that reduce the size of flanges by 2mm to 4mm depending on how they are used.

Flexible for Sizing:  You have the option of using them in 27mm flanges to reduce the size to 25mm and folding them they become 23mm. In 24mm they reduce the size to 22mm and folded they become 20mm. To get down smaller you can use them in the 21mm to reduce the size to 19mm and folded, they become 17s. They don’t do down smaller than a 17mm and even with the folding they are not perfect but it is a good option to try with them.

Folding using the Turtleneck Method:  As explained above, the folding method is used to decrease the size of your flanges by 2mm to 4mm. You can take the ends of the BeauGen’s and fold them outward to create a deficit 4mm to your flanges.

Versatile:  BeauGen Cushions can be used with ANY pump. Yes, that is right, ANY PUMP. Spectra, Willow, Medela, Ameda, FreemieBabyBuddhaBellaBabyLansinoh, Hygeia, EvenflowPumpables, you name it. There is only one pump on the market that you will have a little issue with and that is Elvie, but don’t worry I have the info for you here

The BeauGen’s are sticky: This unique sticky feature of the BeauGen Cushions is wonderful for those that have elastic nipples or unexplained nipple sensitivity. There are many times when pain from pumping is due to incorrect flange sizes, thrush or vasospasms so it is important to get sized using the Nipple Queen Ruler to determine if the issues you are having is from the flanges you are currently using or from something else.

But there is always a catch, right? We love our BeauGen Cushions but you will need to replace them roughly every 2 to 8 weeks depending on how often you use them. Of course, the less you use them and the gentler you are with washing them, the longer they will last.

I always recommend a flange sizing first with the Nipple Queen Ruler to save you time and money but if you want to wing it this would be the place to start.
