Lactation Consultant make pumping easier breast milk measure nipples for flange size

Hi there, I’m Crystal Nelson—founder of Save The Milk.

Let me share a little about how all of this started…

I was a teen mom, and while it wasn’t always easy, I truly loved every moment of it. After having three of my own children, I went on to carry five more as a surrogate. Through all of those journeys, pumping became a huge part of my life—but support and answers were not.

Between 2016 and 2017, I donated breastmilk to over 16 families. The cost was high, the process was confusing, and families who truly needed milk were facing unnecessary barriers. I knew there had to be a better way.

So in 2017, I created breastmilk shipping kits paired with discounted shipping labels—making it possible for families to access breastmilk without paying overwhelming prices.

Then came another realization…
Pumping wasn’t just inconvenient—it was uncomfortable, confusing, and often painful for so many moms.

In 2018, I began focusing on flange sizing. In 2019, I launched my Facebook community and officially founded Save The Milk. What started as helping a few moms quickly grew into helping thousands. I began to see patterns, gaps, and a major lack of properly designed pumping products.

So I got to work.

I developed and patented the Nipple Queen Ruler, Pumping Pretty Inserts and the Pump Pod.

Every product came from real problems I saw—and real moms I helped.

The moms in my community trusted me, shared their struggles, and allowed me to be part of their journeys. Their stories shaped everything you see here today.

Now, my mission is simple:
To make sure no mom feels confused, unsupported, or alone while pumping.

Whether you’re here for guidance, products, or solutions—you’re in the right place. And I’m here to help you every step of the way.
