Medela PersonalFit Flex Flanges – Not the best

Sorry Medela,

You may have been around the block since 1961, but one thing you have fallen short on is the PersonalFit Flex flanges.

Years ago, when I started sizing moms, I realized how short the Medela flanges were in comparison to other brands on the market. Not only short but I have also seen their flanges are not true to size. Why would a company that has been around for 50 years come out with a product that can slow down a woman’s pumping journey? Ladies that have Medela, have you compared the 27mm PersonalFit to the 24/21mm? I never did understand why they chose to make the lengths so different.

Are you using PersonalFit? Do you think you have elastic nipples?

Have you noticed your nipples stretching and hitting the ends of the flanges? Do you think your nipples are elastic? Are you able to empty? Are you getting clogs, engorgement or low supply?

Then what’s your next move?

Run to other products like Lacteck, Pumping Pal, and Beaugen Cushions. But what if it’s not an elastic issue at all? I have been recommending standard flanges for a long time and I am recommending them to you, before you get the products above. Take a look here based on your pump and see if just a simple change in brand may do the trick for you.

Are you in love with the white rim silicone flanges but not the length? Good news is Nenesupply offers the same thing with longer flanges! Take a look here.

If you also need a size change, I would do the sizing with me and to make sure you get every question you have answered to help you on your path to a better pumping journey.
