Shipping Claims
This page is for processing claims once the package has been delivered to its destination
If your shipment is delayed but still showing as in transit:
Please notify me as soon as possible by email at Crystal@SaveTheMilk.com and include your tracking number.
I may be able to assist by reviewing the shipment status, helping coordinate with the carrier, or providing guidance on next steps while the package is still moving through the network. Early notification gives us the best opportunity to help.
All shipping insurance and claims decisions are handled directly by the carrier (UPS or FedEx) first. Save The Milk follows all carrier rules, disclaimers, and claim procedures. Our secondary, independent insurance may be applied should the claim be denied by the carriers.
How the Claims Process Works
Step One
Within 10 days from the delivery date, fill out the Claim Form below
Step two
Save The Milk will submit the claim on your behalf and handle communication with the carrier throughout the process
Late Delivery Claims
Guaranteed Service Refunds (GSR) typically apply only to Next Day delivery services.
If a Next Day shipment arrives late, the carrier may refund the cost of the shipping label only.
If a claim is approved:
Claims may take up to 30 days
The carrier reimburses the cost of the label
A $30 processing fee is deducted by Save The Milk
The remaining amount will be refunded to your original payment method
Denied claims
If a shipping label is used on a day other than the approved shipping date (for example, using a Monday – Thursday label on a Friday), the shipment may not qualify for carrier reimbursement for delays, damages, or spoilage. However, Save The Milk will still submit the claim on your behalf and advocate for the best possible outcome.
Weather delays or natural events are not covered under GSR and claims will be denied by the carrier. We will use our secondary independent insurance to file a claim on your behalf.
UPS Ground, 2nd Day, and 3-Day services typically only include $100 of carrier liability, and refunds are not guaranteed by the carrier. We will use our secondary independent insurance to file a claim on your behalf.
Damaged or Thawed Shipments
Both UPS and FedEx classify breastmilk as a perishable item, which means damage or thawing claims are not always covered under their policies.
However, we will use our secondary independent insurance to file a claim on your behalf.
Damage claims may take several weeks for the carrier or our insurance, to review and process.
Carrier insurance claim amounts are unpredictable.
Claim Payout
If a claim is approved by the carrier, Save The Milk will issue the refund to your original payment method on file. A $30 processing fee will be applied.
